On Thursday afternoon,  hours before the NFL Draft, head coach Pete Carroll entertained fans with some rather peculiar clues as to who the team would take.
Seattle holds both the No.
5 overall and No. 20 overall picks and it was not specified which pick the hints related to. 
Carroll began his hinting by reposting the trailer from the show '.' Participants on the show go on dates behind a wall so they do not see each other before getting engaged. 

Fans speculated that it could mean the Seahawks were either targeting a player they did not meet with or trading down since the show was delayed two weeks.
The second clue was a link to the Seattle Kraken's goal song 'Lithium' by Nirvana.

Fans seemed to have no clue what the hint could have been, however some suggested it may have meant one of the picks would be from a nearby school in the Pacific northwest.
Seahawks head coach Pete The third clue Carroll posted was a picture of actor Carl Weathers who was well known for playing Apollo Creed in the Rocky movie series.
Weathers had a short-lived stint as an NFL linebacker leading fans to connect the dots that the position may be targeted early.
The fourth and clue was a video of Las Vegas Aces star Kesley Plum throwing a t-shirt into the crowd at a San Antonio Spurs game and showed enough arm strength for the shirt to travel way farther than expected. 
This may have been a hint that they are planning to draft a QB.
The fifth clue was a clip of actress Jennifer Coolidge from the show 'White Lotus.' In the clip Coolidge says 'show him the core of the onion.'
The second hint was the goal song for the nearby Seattle Kraken who are in the playoffs
Hint number three was a picture of actor Carl Weathers who was an NFL linebacker briefly 
Hint number for involve WNBA star Kelsey Plum who's wears number 88 in the NFL
Hint number six was a clip of actress Jennifer Coolage from the show 'White Lotus 
The last hint was a video of the Kraken mascot which was taken from a penalty box
Many fans peculated that the hints were signaling the plan was to take Jordan Carter early on
Carroll's sixth and final clue was a video of the Kraken's mascot, however as the video zoomed out it was clear that the camera holder was standing in the penalty box at the hockey rink.
Large amounts of speculation from fans on social media led to the belief that the hints were adding up to Georgia defensive end Jalen Carter.
Not only do Carter and Coolidge have the same initials of J.C., Carter wore the same No.

88 as Plum's husband Darren Waller, as well as the defensive line being considered the 'core' of the defense.
However, vk1.at social media sleuths appeared to have been proven wrong as Seattle drafted cornerback Devon Witherspoon with its No. 5 overall pick.
